It’s hard to believe it’s our blogiversary! It was one year ago on Saturday that we started Live Live Drink Travel. Wow has the last year gone by so fast, but what a ride it was. And we have some great things in store for 2020!

Deep Sky Vineyard, Elgin AZ
As we are winding down Sippin’ September we bring you the Deep Sky Vineyard Tasting Room. All of their wines have celestial names, with matching labels. A self described boutique vineyard, Deep Sky was named for the view of the night sky from the vineyard, away from the big city lights.

Arizona Hops and Vines, Sonoita AZ
Arizona Hops and Vines located in Sonoita, AZ is a Woman Owned vineyard and venue. Run by sisters Megan and Shannon, this little vineyard is a must visit on your adventures in Sonoita. They offer a great little story about how they got started on their website, along with a link to The Sober House

Lightning Ridge Cellars, Elgin AZ
Next up in Sippin’ September we have the Lightning Ridge Cellars Tasting Room. Lightning Ridge is a small family winery established in 2005, with the tasting room opening three years later. They offer wines based on their Italian heritage made from classic Italian Varietals such as Saniovese, Nebbiolo, Montepulciano, Agliancio, Malvais and Muscat Canelli.

Sonoita Vineyards Tasting Room is located in Elgin, AZ and is the oldest commercial Vineyard in Arizona. They started in 1974 and opened in 1983, and the vineyard now contains over 30 acres of vines. Village of Elgin Winery and Distillery, Elgin AZ
The Village of Elgin Winery and Distillery is located right in Elgin, Arizona. The eastern most of the Elgin Rd wineries, it’s hard to miss as there isn’t much around it. It is a winery, distillery, and brewery all rolled into one.

Rune Wines, Sonoita AZ
Our second stop for our Sonoita/Elgin trip, the Rune Wines “tasting room”. Rune is a bit unique as they generally do their tastings outside. They refer to themselves as an off-grid winery. They have a Quonset hut that at the moment it seems to mostly be an empty shell, or for tastings in a pinch

For our last blast of wineries we took a little drive down to the Sonoita/Elgin area. Until a few weeks ago we had no idea that there were so many wineries in this area. Our first stop was Hannah’s Hill Vineyard and Winery in Elgin.
